Created by Chris Gannon and his father Tim Gannon, co-founder of Outback Steakhouse, Bolay with its "so fresh, so bold" motto invites food lovers of all ages to build and customize their own nutrient rich bols packed with superfoods and savory proteins.

Bolay is thrilled to be expanding into the hospitality heart of the state with the opening of new locations in Lake Nona in early September, Winter Park in February of 2019, and UCF in Q2 2019.

“We absolutely knew we wanted to be in central Florida near Orlando,” says Bolay CEO, Chris Gannon. “Opening several stores in this area is an awesome challenge because of all the great places to visit and eat, but that’s the Bolay Way. We love a great challenge, set our standards higher each time and this expansion is an expression of that. We know we’re going to love being in the area.”

Angela Gutierrez will be Operating Partner for the Lake Nona store located at 12711 Narcoossee Road, Suite 120. She feels that this is the perfect next move for the booming brand. “The demographic here in central Florida aligns perfectly with our brand - active, young-minded and health conscious. Bolay is a brand that really believes in building community and we know it’s going to fit right in to Lake Nona,” says Gutierrez.

Bolay offers a gluten-free, build-your-own-bowl menu along with delicious cold-pressed juices. The brand collaborates with some of the best chefs in the country to bring nutrient rich bold flavors to life.

“Our food is full of flavor and energy, much like this area. We bring big energy and big ideas to everything we do and that lines up perfectly with the personality of the Orlando area,” adds Gannon. “Bolay is a wonderful alternative to a lot of the staples around here and we’re looking forward to making the lives of both residents and visitors that much healthier and bolder thanks to Bolay,”

With this bold expansion, Bolay is actively looking for Operating Partners to join the movement and run future stores. “The Bolay Way” is a way of life fueled by incredible food and a vibrant culture, and Bolay is looking for high energy and committed talent to join the team. "Grown" Announces Expansion to Central Florida

11930 Narcoossee Road
Orlando, FL 32822

Grown, a highly celebrated USDA Organic Certified fast food restaurant based in Miami, Florida, is excited to announce its expansion to Central Florida with the debut of a stand alone location inside of the new Walmart Supercenter located in the vibrant community of Lake Nona.

The innovative farm-to-fork concept is owned and operated by husband and wife team Shannon and Ray Allen.

Shannon (The PreGame Meal) created the concept in frustration after searching unsuccessfully for an organic nutrient dense meal on-the-go for their five children and especially their son Walker who lives with Type 1 Diabetes.

She and husband Ray (retired two-time NBA Champion, 10-time NBA All-Star and Olympic Gold Medalist), are committed to promoting a healthy diet and lifestyle by providing freshly prepared meals inclusive of guests with dietary needs such as gluten sensitivities, food allergies, vegans, vegetarians, pescetarians, and those on the Autoimmune Protocol or paleo diets.

Grown is proud to be the first USDA Certified Organic fast food restaurant with a drive-thru on the East Coast, and is widely recognized as a market disrupter for providing convenience without compromise.

“At grown, we’re passionate about changing the world one organic fast food meal at a time by providing busy families with convenient, delicious, freshly prepared meals using the best USDA Organic Certified ingredients the market has to offer. Our biggest challenge to date is that organic certified products are cost prohibitive for a lot of families.

You may not know this, but Walmart is the second largest seller of organic groceries in the US. Due to their immense customer base and buying power, they can not only support local farmers as they make the switch from conventional to organically grown farms, but, also help drive down the cost of organic for consumers everywhere. Operating grown inside of Walmart makes us accessible to every family, regardless of their mean income; this is a game changer,” states Shannon.

Grown, named one of the best new restaurants in Florida by Florida Trend Magazine, marries the quality of farm-to-fork cuisine with the convenience of fast food dining and makes it possible for busy people to access high-quality foods at affordable prices. Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner items as well as fresh pressed juices, smoothies, family style meals to-go, organic beer and wine, and more.

Practicing sustainability beyond the kitchen, Grown utilizes pulp-free and compostable paper products, 100% recyclable cups, BPA-free storage containers, and plantable menus and kids meal packaging that encourage even the youngest guests to cultivate their own gardens.

Grown Lake Nona will be located inside the Walmart Supercenter at 11930 Narcoossee Road. The restaurant, opening in mid-February, will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner daily from 9AM to 9PM.

Grown’s Miami flagship location is at 8211 South Dixie Highway, and can also be found in Hard Rock Stadium (BankUnited Club Level and Section 148-A).

Siro Urban Italian Kitchen

In preparation for Visit Orlando's Magical Dining Month, I got a sneak peak at one of the participating restaurants and got to sample the menu offerings for this annual event.

Magical Dining Month, in case you are unfamiliar, is the annual event put on by the folks at Visit Orlando to help promote tourism and create awareness about all the great culinary adventures that Orlando has to offer. It's a real simple concept where participating restaurants feature three-course, prix -fixe dinners at the exceptional value of $33 per person. Its a great way to sample some places that have been off of your radar, or even too expensive. You get an appetizer, entree and a desert at your choice of over 70 restaurants in Central Florida.

Since it is a month long event, you can go as often as you like and to how ever many restaurants as you like. The month begins with a preview week on August 25th and ends on September 30th. In addition to all the great eats at a great price, this year one dollar from each meal sold will benefit the Foundation for Foster Children

Now, back to Siro Urban Italian Kitchen.

Since opening its doors in 2013, Siro has steadily been gaining recognition in the culinary community for its trendy, yet affordable Italian Cuisine. A big part of the success they are having is due in large part to Executive Chef, Alexia "Lexi" Gawlak. Chef Lexi, if you are unfamiliar with the name, has made stops along the way at some of Orlando's top dining establishments including Luma On Park, Primo, and The Ravenous Pig to name a few.

The menu at Siro  features dishes that are inspired by local fare, as well as plates that boast vibrant flavors and utilize local in season ingredients that help to maintain Siro’s philosophy of "From Farm to Fork." The main entree courses are simple yet innovative and include everything from thin-crust pizzas and house-made pastas to various meats and fish selections. Siro also has a nice selection of family style dishes available that are served family style on over sized wooden planks.

In addition to signature dishes, Siro also boasts an extensive drink menu, with bartenders that have mastered the “Garden to Glass” method of mixology. They specialize in preparing hand crafted Italian classics from the Negroni and Aperol Spritz to the "The Artisan," Lemoncello Martini complete with fresh squeezed juices and fragrant herbs. Of course no Italian restaurant is complete without a fine wine selection and Siro has a nice collection of true Italian tradition, selected wines that are served by the glass and quartino carafes -- as well as local craft beer selections.

For the Magical Dining Month menu at Siro you have a choice of three different appetizers, three different entrees, and three different desert selections to choose from. You can mix and match any one selection of the three and create a unique dining experience. Although I made my own selection of items, I was able to sample all of the dishes offered..(perks of being a blogger) So lets get started...

For my appetizer, I chose the Marinated Tomato Salad with fresh tomatoes, Burrata and sea salt. Burrata is a fresh Italian cheese made from mozzarella and cream. I enjoyed the creaminess of the Burrata with the acidity of the fresh tomatoes.

The next appetizer I sampled was the Frito Misto with fried Key West pink shrimp, oysters, grouper, and lemon-caper aioli. All Fried and all good.

My favorite appetizer was the Grilled Quail with fennel sausage, pepperonata, and a vidalia onion puree. This was a very delicious quail, seasoned to perfection.

For My entree I went with the Grilled Strip Steak served with a
ragout of summer squashes topped with crispy crumbs. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium, was tender and loaded with flavor.

Another great entree was the Chicken Milanese with summer salad. The delicately battered and fried chicken pieces just melted in your mouth.

The third entree offered was the Bucatini Al Frutti Di Mare with
mussels, clams, shrimp, fennel sausage, and tomato-saffron brodo. Very tasty as well.

For desert I opted for the Tiramisu. Although served in a non traditional fashion, the flavor of this tiramisu was about as authentic as I have had.

All of the deserts offered were good, but when the Zeppoles arrived..it was chaos. A bag of deep fried balls of dough coated in sugar and cinnamon and a side of chocolate dipping sauce...Oh my..these were good!

For something more refreshing and a bit lighter, go with the Panna Cotta, a mixture of cooked cream, berries and chocolate.

So there you have it...quite an awesome selection of goods from the folks at Siro Urban Italian Kitchen and all available for $33.00/person during Magical Dining Month. It truly is an exceptional deal especially when you consider that Siro was recognized by Florida Trend magazine as the “Best New Restaurant” in
Central Florida, within the Golden Spoon Awards for 2013.

But wait...there's more!

For just $219 per night plus tax, you and a guest will enjoy one night in a King or Double Room and dinner for two at Siro.

Most of the restaurants that are in hotels that are participating in Magical Dining Month, also offer hotel packages as well.

Now get out there and have some great food and help support a worthy cause.
