Sin Boudoir Review: The Top Boudoir Photographer in Orlando

I don’t normally review photography businesses. However as photographers do provide a service, I figured I could add it to my list of review categories if I use one. I wanted to write about my recent experience with an Orlando boudoir photographer.

My anniversary was coming soon, and I wanted to do something different this year. This is our 10th anniversary, and we’ve been together since high school. I just turned 32 and have had two babies, so I wasn’t feeling particularly attractive lately. My husband tells me all the time he enjoys my appearance, but he has to say that lol.

My circle of friends includes wives of professional sports players, a cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins, some wealthy ladies that own restaurants, a mom blogger and some Instagram influencers. So I reached out to them to see if they had any recommendations for a great photographer. Many of them said without a doubt: Michael Jones of Sin Boudoir.

I wanted to look into all of the recommendations I had received, so I began doing some research. Reviews. Cost. Styles. I didn’t know there would be so much variety.

I looked at around 100 boudoir websites from Jacksonville to Miami, over to Tampa and Fort Myers. I wanted the best one I could find at the best price. To be honest, I didn’t realize how silly some boudoir photos actually are. Most of the images looked similar. Young models doing ridiculous poses most women couldn’t reproduce without breaking our spines lol.

There were angel wings in a variety of colors. Handstands in lingerie (lol whyyyy??). Poses that were not even remotely sexy i.e. hanging backwards off a bed omg. These boudoir photographers must have all went to the same silly posing school or something.

And the worst part, the word “empowerment” over and over on every website. Every site I went to, “feel the empowerment of a boudoir shoot” and “boudoir will empower you” or “I will make you feel empowered and confident” blah blah blah. Who writes this stuff?

I knew for sure my husband would not take much interest in ridiculous and silly poses like that. He might appreciate the gesture, but it definitely wouldn’t be something he would be checking out daily. So, I went with Sin Boudoir.

Michael Jones made a name for himself in the neon lights of Las Vegas. Catering to the hot-blooded tourists and endless bachelorette parties on the Vegas strip, he had women from all over the world traveling to be in front of his camera. He eventually opened a branch in Scottsdale, Arizona. He’s now here in Florida with his Sin City inspired boudoir style.

He has a 4.9 star rating on google with over 100 reviews. His portfolio blew me away. HOT STUFF and I mean HOT. The kind of photos men love. Dirty magazine style photos. Sin Boudoir is the perfect name for this kind of boudoir photography. And his prices were much lower than anyone else with comparable services.

Oh, and I didn’t see the “empowerment” word not one time on his website. SOLD!

Now, my husband isn’t the jealous type. If I let a guy take naked photos of me, he’s gonna give me the side-eye for a second then make a joke about how lucky the guy is. But if your man is insecure or jealous or controlling, you might want to get yourself one of those cookie cutter chick photographers. But not me. I wanted my photos to be perfect, so I followed the advice of my friends and went with the best.

Before my shoot, I had my makeup done at Sephora, the Ultimate Glam for $90 (because Michael recommended it). Dude is an honest guy. He could charge $300-$500 for a makeup artist but says just go get it done at Sephora. I appreciated that.

So, do I love my photos? I sure do. And my husband really loves them.

The photo shoot started with the basic lingerie stuff. Then I changed into a see-through piece so I could get comfortable with the idea that I was about to bare it all. Once I stripped down to nothing, I felt so alive. Michael made me feel like a super model, offering words of encouragement. “Pop that booty up!” “Open your legs!” “Wider!”

I couldn’t help but feel naughty. I was caught up in the moment. I was ready to run down the street completely naked and screaming “Look at me! I’m sexy damn it!”

When it was over, I drove home with a new sense of myself. I felt beautiful for the first time in a long time.

I only had one request. Don’t over edit my photos. I didn’t want every stretch mark, pimple, mole or wrinkle removed. I wanted to still look like me. Michael was fine with that, as that’s his style anyway. He doesn’t do that airbrushed blurry skin look.

A few days later, Michael sent me a text. My photos were edited and ready. He was going to send me an email. We took over 900 photos and he took the best 60 and did his magic. I waited 10 minutes until the email popped up with the link to check them out.

Wow. I looked amazing. Like a model, just like Michael had said. Michael only posts photos on his website of clients if they give permission, and I was so proud of my photos, I said “please put these on your website!”

I gave my husband his beautiful linen cover photo album for our anniversary. He loved it. When I told him my nudes were on the internet, he kind of looked like he was concerned. But in the end, he understood why I had done it. He knew I struggled with self-esteem issues. He supported me. He hugged me and said if I’m happy, he’s happy.

Now, if you want to see my photos, you can see them on the Sin Boudoir portfolio page HERE. Feel free to check them out. You’ll be able to determine which ones are me pretty easily. But please be advised that they do contain nudity. I mean full, spread leg, hello that’s my coochie nudity. So, if you don’t want to see it, don’t click it. I believe in body positivity. So I’m not ashamed of my body. I’m proud of my photos, they are artistic and beautiful. If my photos give even one woman the strength to go do their own boudoir shoot then I’m happy to share mine with the world.

Would I recommend Sin Boudoir to you? Absolutely. I even got my sister to book an appointment with him.

This helps a lot because I am currently searching for a boudoir photographer for my husband’s birthday in October. I also can’t stand most of the boudoir websites I see and was almost ready to give up. I love Sin Boudoir’s photos. They look really hot.

  2. I hired Michael at Sin Boudoir to do my wife’s photos a few years ago. I wanted something a lot sexier than you see on the average boudoir photographer’s portfolio. I was a little miffed that I couldn’t be in the studio to watch the session take place (it’s the policy). But when I got the photo album I was glad I wasn’t there. Much better to be surprised and see the end result!

  3. So I’ve done boudoir photos 3 times. Once by my wedding photographer (a woman) then 3 years later by Captured by Belinda. Then my 3rd time I used Michael Sasser out in L.A.

Both female photographers I swear 90% of my photos they had me touching my face in some way. You can totally see it in their portfolios too. Some variation of hands on face or head. No originality whatsoever.

The male photographer (Michael Sasser), those are my favorites by far. Made me look like a model. I love those photos

I may have to try Sin Boudoir next. His portfolio looks perfect for what I want to do next.

  4. Great review! On your recommendation I just booked my first boudoir shoot. I’m a little nervous but I know my husband will love this type of photos of me. Thank you!

  5. Michael at Sin Boudoir did my bridal boudoir photos. My wedding photographer did them first but omg she was terrible at boudoir. I’m not sure why every single female boudoir photographer does the exact same photos over and over. They are not even remotely sexy.

Sin Boudoir made my photos look like I was in Playboy magazine. I was a little nervous at first considering he’s a man but once we started rolling all of my anxiety went away. Michael was so amazing to do photos with. I didn’t feel embarrassed or anything. Once I was naked I just felt so comfortable. He’s really great.
