Grape & The Grain Wine Bar Announces Official Grand Opening On Thursday, August 23

Since first opening their doors, visitors of The Mills 50 District have given its newest resident “Grape & The Grain Wine Bar” a very warm welcome, and now Grape & The Grain is celebrating the closing of the season and their official grand opening with a special “Summer Wine Down” event on Thursday, August 23.

From 5pm-9pm, all are invited to the intimate, artsy, relaxing craft beer and wine garden to invigorate all the senses and enjoy Grape & The Grain’s large variety of international fine wines, local craft beer, frosé, frozen sangria and more, with the first 100 guests receiving a free glass of Prosecco.

In addition, the evening will feature a special appearance by in-house artist Jay “J Bon” Bonadio “The Unsigned Artist” and live art to be auctioned off for A Gift For Teaching charitable organization to help provide children with school supplies. Plus, Flamenco Guitarist Jorge Mendoza will perform live inside with DJ Leony spinning in the garden and a popular local food truck on-site.

Grape & The Grain serves a wide variety of wine spanning the globe, a generous selection of craft beer from local breweries, frosé, sangrias, Prosecco on tap, a mimosa bar on Sunday, small plates like charcuterie and specialty cheeses, food trucks and various live musicians on weekends to round out the tranquil vibe.




The 1,200 square foot Spanish-style, vintage interior houses a rotating for-sale art exhibit that pushes the limits, with a new local Orlando artist featured every six weeks.  

Most enchanting is Grape & The Grain’s spacious outdoor garden with a 1,000 square feet wood deck and grass area, covered trellis with Edison bulb lights, Adirondack chairs and a private driveway for food trucks, all wrapped in a custom fence lined with hanging succulents and seven-foot Italian Cypress trees.
Grape & The Grain is owned by seasoned hospitality and real estate professionals, husband and wife team Christian Arqueros and Alexie Fonseca, along with sister Maritza Arqueros.  

“We’ve been fortunate to travel throughout Europe and South America over the years, and one thing we always loved most was sitting in a ‘piazza’ enjoying a glass of wine, watching the people walk by and the musician playing the sax or accordion for a euro going table to table,” says Alexie.  “That spun the idea of how can we get something like this in Orlando? Why wait for someone else? We can create it ourselves. The timing was just right, we found a hidden gem in the up-and-coming neighborhood of Mills 50 and turned it into a vision we’d been working on for years.”

The award-winning 4R Restaurant Group will launch its newest concept in late August with the opening of its 4R Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck located in the Marketplace at Disney Springs. 

The eatery will debut a variety of new signature dishes, including a Taco Cone and Burrito Bowl filled with choice of meats such as Brisket Barbacoa or Pork Sofrito.

The 4R Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck will also offer stand out vegetarian options like the Squash Blossom Burrito. Additionally, decadent desserts such as Dulce De Leche Churro Balls will be available.

“It’s an honor to open the 4R Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck at Disney Springs in the company of so many talented chefs and award-winning restaurants,” said John Rivers, 4R Restaurant Group Founder and CEO. “Our first-ever daily 4R offering at Disney Springs will provide an opportunity for tourists to savor an authentic local brand. Inspired by his recent culinary adventures in Mexico City, Rivers has developed the food truck’s barbacoa-style menu. Dishes will feature signature 4 Rivers meats such as brisket and pulled pork, but prepared using traditional barbacoa techniques – methods with roots in the Caribbean and ultimately perfected in Mexico.

The opening of this Mexican-inspired barbacoa eatery marks the first time a 4R location will be available to guests at Disney Springs. The 4R Cantina Barbacoa menu has been crafted with the same pride and passion that has earned 4 Rivers Smokehouses some of the culinary world’s highest accolades, including recently being named “America’s Best Barbecue Chain” by The Daily Meal.


The 4R Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck at Disney Springs will be the only 4 Rivers location to offer service seven days a week – including Sunday. Following in the philanthropic footprints of the 4R “Barbecue Ministry,” all net proceeds from sales every Sunday will support The 4R Foundation, which in 2017 helped more than 950 local schools, churches and charitable organizations. All other 4 Rivers Smokehouse locations will remain closed on Sundays.

Chef Manny is currently in the final 3 and on Sunday we will see if he makes it to the finale!

Manny, 30, prides himself as being a food-loving firefighter, regularly cooking up meals for his colleagues. Originally from Miami, Manny was exposed at a young age to different cuisines, including Caribbean, Cuban and Haitian, which he incorporates into his recipes. Manny’s goal is to make food fun again, while sharing his unique culinary point of view with the world. Manny has the experience, personality and desire to become the next Food Network Star!

Chef Manny, or Manny Washington is a Central Florida resident and will be teaching a class on August 18th from 2pm to 4pm at Hebni Nutrition in Orlando. Cost is $35 per person for this cook along class with free swag!

Come Saturday, August 18 from 2 to 4 pm for a cooking class that will fire up your tastebuds!

Chef Manny will have you laughing and learning as he teaches this HANDS ON CLASS that will feature sweet potato breakfast boats, crispy baked veggies and more.

Chicken Guy! is a fast-casual chain dedicated to serving delicious, succulent chicken tenders paired with a wide variety of flavorful sauces meant to please all palates.

The menu at Chicken Guy! will feature one-of-a-kind all-natural fresh chicken tenders, hand-pounded to maximize crunch and paired with a wide selection of delicious sauces.
