New to the Marketplace at Dr. Phillips, The H Cuisine offers a diverse Mediterranean menu prepared by chefs with international experience, gained from working at some of the finest restaurants around the world.

Combined, they have traveled to more than 70 countries to learn about different tastes, foods and ingredients, and bring what they have learned from these culinary adventures to Orlando. It is owned by local entrepreneurs, Fuat Hasaglu and Ahmet Ozhamurkar.

An open-fire kitchen concept allows guests to enjoy different styles of fire cooking methods, including charcoal-oven cooked and charcoal-grilled dishes, slowly-cooked barbecue, smoked dishes, sustainable seafood, handmade dried and rested meat, Turkish spicy Sucuk and meze dishes, which will win the hearts of vegetarians. The menu includes seasonal ingredients purchased from local Anatolian producers.

The open kitchen counter allows guests to feel the warmth of the live fire as they watch the chefs preparing exclusive menu items. Guests can also enjoy table-side experiences with the chefs when they order select items from the menu.

A signature experience at The H Cuisine, shared platters for two to four guests, can be reserved and include braised lamb shoulders and 12-hour braised veal shank with root vegetables and wine. 

The bar at The H Cuisine serves a wide range of domestic and imported beverages, including beer, wine, raki and cocktails with premium liquor options available. A perfect location to relax or gather with friends, the bar offers a unique experience after work, during lunch and before and after dinner. Coffee enthusiasts will love another signature menu item at The H – Turkish coffee.

The H Cuisine is the perfect new spot for local and visiting foodies, business, convention and group meetings, and life celebrations.

The restaurant offers both outdoor and indoor seating. Reservations can also be made online through Open Table. The hours of operations are Tuesday through Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m, Friday and Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to midnight, and Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Falafel is a deep fried ball, doughnut or patty made from ground chickpeas, fava beans, or both that started out as a traditional Middle Eastern food, that most likely originated in Egypt.

It is commonly served in a pita, which acts as a pocket, or wrapped in a flatbread known as taboon, "falafel" also frequently refers to a wrapped sandwich that is prepared in this way. 

The falafel balls are topped with salads, pickled vegetables, hot sauce, and drizzled with tahini-based sauces. Falafel balls may also be eaten alone as a snack or served as part of a meze (assortment of appetizers).

Hubbly Bubbly Falafel Shop has taken the Falafel craze to a new level, and they are helping to make falafel a much more recognized and fun to eat food in Central Florida. They have two locations now, one in Downtown Orlando, and the other in College Park.

Both locations are your standard fast casual spots where you order your food as you go through the line and request your base, your protein and then select toppings and sides. You can eat inside, or you can take it to go, as both locations are set in narrow spaces with limited seating.

Your first decision is to select a base of either Pocket Sandwich, a Salad Bowl or a Hummus Bowl that includes Pita Chips.

Next you select your protein with Falafel being the main thing, but you can also choose Lentils, Chicken or Lamb & Steak. The falafel is made with Georgie’s secret blend of freshly ground chickpeas and signature herbs and spices, hand-shaped into pucks and lightly fried until crispy.

Lentils are mixed with sauteed onions and spices served with a signature tangy salad on top. The chicken and the lamb & steak are served in a traditional shawarma style that is slow roasted and seasoned with Georgie’s own blend of secret spices, sliced hot off the spit and served straight to your dish.


After all of that, you can select a variety of toppings like a Bubbly Salad Blend which is a blend of lettuce, onions, parsley, lemon olive oil, and you can add things like lettuce, red onions, tomatoes, pickles, hummus, Mozzarella cheese, Spanish cheese, black olives, pickled turnips and peppers.

Finally you choose your sauce to top it off. You can go with Tahini, Garlic Sauce, Georgie's Dressing, Lilly Sauce or Tzatziki. You can spice things up with Burning Sauce, or even add Ranch dressing...and yes...Ketchup.

Here is an assortment of a Salad Bowl with chicken as the protein that is served with a side of pita chips. The two side orders are falafel balls on the right, and Mazel Tots on the left. The tots are crispy shredded tater tots tossed with a signature five spice seasoning and deep fried.

This is a Pita Pocket stuffed with chicken as the protein and an assortment of Bubbly salad blend, black olives, tomatoes and tzatziki sauce and a side of Crispy Cauliflower. Side choices include crispy cauliflower, mazel tots, falafel, spinach pies and pita chips with hummus or sauce.

Hubbly Bubbly serves up Baklava Fingers for a dessert option made with layers of phyllo dough, chopped walnuts, honey and butter.

If you can’t decide on what to try, they do offer Hubbly Plates that are perfect for trying a little bit of everything. This Includes falafel, hummus, a premium side, pita chips, Bubbly salad blend and your choice of chicken or lamb & steak.

Hubbly Bubbly Falafel Shop is open at the Downtown location from 11:00am until 9:00pm Monday to Thursday. They stay open until 3:00 am on Friday. On Saturday they are open from 4:00pm to 3:00am , and they are closed on Sunday.

East Orlando's newest dining spot is a little place called The Meatball Shoppe. I say little enthusiastically though, because the shop is small inside, but full of great flavor and great character. That great character is attributed to the owners of this establishment - Isabella Morgia di Vicaria, a first-generation American, born of Italian heritage in Brooklyn, NY. and her Husband Jeff Morgia.

Isabella and Jeff have over thirty years of time and experience combined in the restaurant and food industry. Isabella’s Bella Cucina, a catering company that the couple operates, has been in business since 1992 in Central Florida. A few years ago, Isabella and Jeff were thinking of ways to bring something new and innovative to Central Florida... and The Meatball Shoppe was born. With the aquiring of a location for The Meatball Shoppe, Isabella’s Bella Cucina also acquired a larger kitchen facility that will make it possible for the two companies to support each other. The Meatball Shoppe will also serve as a retail space for Isabella’s Bella Cucina.

Isabella believes her meatballs are special and are a representative of the best of many cultures including the Mediterranean and Latin American Countries. Jeff says his love of meatballs comes from the nostalgia 
that takes him back to when he was growing up, and they’re warm, inviting and are universally loved by all. 

The concept of The Meatball Shoppe is to bring you the classic and traditional Italian meatball and then take it in a different direction. The menu is based on tradition fused with innovation that brings new life to the ‘classic meatball’. Patrons can expect to find a combination of an old world style with a retro feel and fresh originality.

When ordering you first choose "How would you like them" your options are "On Top", "Alone" and "Smash". If you select "On Top" you then you select a side you would like your meatballs on top of. Choices include Creamy Polenta, Penne Pasta with choice of sauce, Gluten-Free Pasta, Pasta Aglia Olio and a White Bean Ragout. If you want your meatballs by themselves, you would choose "Alone" and they are served atop a bed of arugula. The "Smash" option gives you the meatballs smashed on freshly baked focaccia.

Next you select the type of meatball you would like. The list of meatballs includes Nonna’s traditional Italian meatballs, Vegetarian, Gluten free Jeffy’s sausage,  Mediterranean grass fed lamb with pita bread and tzatziki sauce, Spicy pork, Chicken Marsala and a Reuben ball topped with a traditional Reuben Sauce.

Your next step is to pick a sauce. Sauces  available are Roasted Tomato Sauce, Isabella’s Signature Pesto, Creamy Provolone , Rich Marsala Mushroom Sauce, Spicy Pork Sauce. You can mix and match all you want, but the sauce selections go hand in hand with your meatball choice. You can also get a fried egg to top everything off, if you choose.

I had the opportunity to go to a blogger and foodie meet up recently, and I got to sample a bit of everything at The Meatball Shoppe. Everyone really enjoyed the flavors and creativity of all the meatballs we sampled. They were firm and seasoned well and the sauces and sides were quite tasty too. 


I ordered Jeffy's Sausage meatball smashed on focaccia with creamy provolone sauce and a fried egg on top. That was a pretty damn good sandwich.
