In a city with so much to see and do, one of the top attraction for locals, as well as tourists, is Hard Rock Cafe Orlando.

Located at Universal Studios Orlando in the CityWalk entertainment complex, Hard Rock Cafe Orlando is the biggest HRC in the world. With large, statuesque pillars, it stands majestically as a Roman Coliseum of rock, and boasts more pieces of music memorabilia than any other location. The site includes not only a vast, multi-level cafe, but also Hard Rock Live Orlando, a 3,000-person concert/party venue.

The menu is full of traditional appetizers and lots of burger’s and sandwiches. If you’re not in the mood for burgers, there are plenty of other menu items to satisfy your cravings. There is a nice selection of steaks, salmon and fresh salads, and a fun dessert menu.


While dining and partying at Hard Rock, you’ll be surrounded by memorabilia of music’s greatest talents. Check out the suit Elvis wore in the film Viva Las Vegas, view hand painted Beatles posters, and look through Buddy Holly’s famous black glasses. You can also admire the Pete Townshend’s, of The Who, 1973 Gibson Les Paul custom guitar.

In addition to the regular menu, there is always something new or seasonal to try out as well, like this Air Mexico Margarita sampler.

The Jumbo Combo is one of the most popular apps at Hard Rock, and can really be a snack type of meal for a few people. This is a collection of Signature Wings, Onion Rings, Tupelo Chicken Tenders, Southwest Spring Rolls and Parmesan flatbread with bruschetta served with honey mustard, hickory barbecue and blue cheese dressing. Very tasty.

The Texan is hickory smoked pulled pork or chicken with chipotle barbecue sauce, cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, crispy fried jalapenos and onions, piled high on toasted brioche. This sandwich was pretty good. It was huge, messy and fun to eat.

Another item on the seasonal menu was the Jerk Pork. This is served sizzling from the grill with peppers, onions, coleslaw and flatbread. The flavor and heat on the pork was done right.

The Schnitzel Burger was also on the seasonal menu This burger is stacked with 2 fried pork Schnitzel patties and is loaded down with sauerkraut, cheese and sauce. This thing could be a burger challenge.

Although for me, it’s a bit touristy, It's still a really fun place to explore with all of the lavish decorations and tons of memorabilia. We visited in October and a had a pretty fun time with good service and good food. Even if you are local like me, I would recommend you check them out.

World Of Beer Features New Seasonal Menu Items and Beer Pairings...

In addition to 500 craft beers and 40 rotating taps daily, WOB is once again adding some seasonal change to the menu with a variety of delicious food that pairs perfectly to whatever you’re drinking at the moment.

At the Downtown Orlando location, they have been promoting the the signature “Tavern Fare” menu that features a variety of elevated comfort food that provides the perfect marriage of food and beer for the ultimate experience.

This year World of Beer Downtown Orlando has added five seasonal menu items in addition to two WOB collaborated, limited-release beers to feature on the all new “Fall Plates and Pints” menu. This menu focuses on a more seasonal lineup of pub inspired foods that is creative, but still has something for everyone.

The limited release menu items include such things like the Prosciutto & Spiced Apple Flatbread, PB&J Wings, Green Chili Chicken Nachos, WOBtoberfest Brat Burger and a sweet ending with Pumpkin Spice Apple Donuts.

Green Chili Chicken Nachos are perfect for gameday or any day, with corn tortilla chips smothered in green chili chicken, spicy cheese, tomatoes, green onion, jalapeno peppers and chopped cilantro. This is paired with a Stone IPA.

The Prosciutto & Spiced Apple Flatbread was pretty tasty with Prosciutto ham and spiced apple, topped with toasted hazelnuts and goat cheese. This is paired with the WOB limited release from Dogfish Head called Fall On Me, a Belgian-style Farmhouse Ale with apples and fall spices.

The PB&J Wings are crispy wings glazed in blackberry balsamic jelly and drizzled with spicy peanut butter sauce and served with a blackberry jam and peanut butter dipping sauce. A bit unusual, but it worked. The wings are paired with the WOB limited release from Stone called Mixtape Vol. 14 – The Gatekeeper, a Russian Imperial Stout and IPA blend with figs and plums.

The WOBtoberfest Brat Burger is a mouthful of a beef burger topped with a beer brat, house made stone ground mustard, sauerkraut, beer cheese sauce and caramelized onions on a toasted brioche bun. Pair it with a Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA.

Pumpkin Spice Apple Donuts are the perfect way to celebrate the harvest, and to end your visit to WOB. These are traditional German fried apple donuts dusted with pumpkin spice sugar and paired with salted caramel for dipping. A Cider of your choice is good to pair it with.

The Gatekeeper, a Russian Imperial Stout and IPA blend with figs and plums is pretty serious. For this WOB limited release, Stone mixed it up by blending their Russian Imperial Stouts with their IPA, then adding figs, plum and Hallertau Blanc hops.

The Fall Pints and Plates menu is only available for a limited time, so get to your local WOB and try it out soon. The food was really good, and of course the beer was even better.

For over a decade, Hollerbach’s Willow tree Cafe has strived to provide its guests with a high quality meal with a lot of Gemütlichkeit.

Gemuetlichkeit is a sense of well-being and happiness that comes from enjoying the company of friends and family while savoring good food and drink. 


Hollerbach's offers traditional menu items found in Gasthauses across Germany as well as American favorites and original menu creations. They have prided themselves on having an attentive and well trained staff who prepare, sell and serve high quality products. Their specialty is German cuisine featuring sausages, cold cuts, Schnitzels, breads and desserts based on Hollerbach family recipes.



Oktoberfest is almost here! This year Hollerbach’s will expand the event to two days, Thursday the 13th and Friday the 14th.

On Thursday night Oktober 14th, the restaurant will continue to team up with the Sanford Welcome Center for Alive After Five, Central Florida’s longest running street party. On Friday, the party moves to Magnolia Square, where guests can stroll to the sounds of Sonneschein Express as they enjoy the wares of unique vendors and German street food, including brats, pretzels and of course, bier!

For the Thursday evening festivities, Hollerbach’s is bringing back the VIP Haus at Hollerbach’s Art Haus, where the first 60 guests who register will get unlimited beer, schnapps, food, exclusive bathrooms, a private concert from Jimmy and Eckhard and Oktoberfest Swag. Tickets are $50 for singles and $80 for couples. Click here to get your tickets. Thursday’s event will be from 5:00 to 9:00 but the VIP Haus opens early at 4:30.

Meanwhile, just outside the VIP Haus on First Street and in Magnolia Square, the classic annual Oktoberfest street party will take place. Guests can enjoy a variety of vendors, along with German music, beer, and food on the street.



On Friday, Oktober 14th from 6:00 to 11:00, the celebration moves from 1st Street to Magnolia Square and 2nd street. They will have expanded German food offerings, including Buster’s Bistro’s famous frites. For entertainment, Marty Gross and the Sonneschein Express will be back for the second night, performing from 6:00 to 10:00. The Alpine Rose dancers will be teaching guests German dance moves and Sanford’s own Cowboy Keith will be doing last call to finish up the party from 10:00 to 11:00.

West End Trading Co. and Celery City have agreed to add a full liquor bar at the corner of 2nd and Palmetto Avenue and the Sanford Homebrew Shop will be doing a brewing demo from their shop.

At this event, Hollerbach’s will be using food and drink tickets, which can be redeemed at any of the event booths for beer, brats, liquor, and more. Get ready for the sixth annual Cows 'n Cabs 

This country themed event is a high end food, wine, craft beer and spirit party that benefits two awesome local charities – Community Food and Outreach Center and Elevate Orlando with 100% of the proceeds donated to those charities.

Anheuser-Busch, Southern Wine & Spirits and ABC Fine Wine & Spirits will contribute to the evening with more than 200 wines, spirits and craft beers samplings.

A selection of gourmet samples will be presented by a group of more than 20 invite-only, local restaurants, including 4 Rivers Smokehouse, Soco, Taverna Opa, K Restaurant, The Osprey Tavern, SLATE and Tapa Toro.
