By now I am sure most of you Central Floridians have heard about 4 Rivers Smokehouse. But in case you have not heard, or wanted more info....here it is for you!!

4 Rivers is the BBQ-Pit Brainchild of John Rivers. To make a long story short, John is a former pharmaceutical executive who worked with billion dollar corporations like Johnson & Johnson.
Having spent time in Texas, he developed a passion for BBQ and Brisket. That is where he got the idea to start a small catering business to share his food with others. What initially started out as a charity, turned into a small catering business on the side ran from his house.
But Good BBQ cant be kept a secret. After buying a vacant tire repair shop on 2103 West Fairbanks avenue in Winter Park, to help expand the catering business, the idea came to John.
"What if....what if I open a BBQ restaurant here instead"? After all, his catering business was booming. So he did it...and the lines have not stopped forming at the original location or the two newest ones in Winter Garden and Longwood.
John knows a thing or two about rubs, marinades and smoking meats.
He actually has spreadsheets for every type of meat and different formulations for injections and marinades.
The Angus Beef Brisket is smoked overnight for 18 hours every day. Chicken and ribs come out of the smoker four times a day.
Ordering your food is pretty simple and straight forward.
Once you get in line (there will be a line) you can gaze over the menu and pick out what you want.
You then move up to the next station and order your sides.
